The dawning of a new day has emerged. From the ashes of the IWA emerges the beginning of a new era in Metro:PRO Wrestling. Immediately, I am honored by being placed in a tournament of sorts to determine the first ever Pure Wrestling Champion. Fortunately, or unfortunately depending on how you perceive the course of events, I have been matched up with an individual of mostly equal wrestling prowess. The other two potential opponents are not wrestlers. Liz Smalls is a marketing acrobat and Jack Owyns is a guy you wouldn't want to find in a back alley. That's why I stay out of back alleys.
With Lava and I, you will see a beautiful match-up of two impressive ground games matching up, the way wrestling is intended to be. She will try to implement her phenomenal striking ability while I attempt to out-maneuver her with my superior technique. However, it is curious that the two of us face to find out who will face either Liz or Jack. This match is the only one of the two that will actually feature 'pure wrestling.' The other two should be eliminated based solely on their complete lack of wrestling competence as it relates to such a prestigious title, but they will be soon enough. For now, we can all focus on, and enjoy, what is guaranteed to be a tremendous wrestling match.
Without a doubt, she and I are two of the very best submission artists in this business, let alone in this company. We shall paint the canvas with a masterpiece by the time that bell rings to declare a winner. To add to this beautiful scene, neither she nor I will attempt to tarnish this great spectacle with any cheap tactics to win. The winner will be the one who wins this match based purely on merit without any of the controversy that you're bound to see in that other match.
But you're not tuning in to listen to me ramble about why this will be such a wonderful contest. My excitement for such a glorious challenge overwhelms me and I apologize. What you really want to know is why Weston Alexander will be the victor. The answer is simple and presumably very predictable: intelligence. The male chauvinistic point of view would likely assume that gender has any meaning in a wrestling match. I disagree wholeheartedly and I've had many bruises and scars over the years that prove it. I am intelligent enough to understand the threat Lava poses to me. I will not overlook her for any reason. Her advantage over me is her striking ability, but my advantages over her are numerous, even accepting her competence in those areas.
She is intelligent. I am a genius.
She is technical. My technique is flawless.
She is moderately composed. The stakes don't faze me.
She cannot stay focused. I focus only on my victory.
I can sustain more punishment, last longer, and take any number of her surprise punches and I'll still be right there, willing my way to the Championship match. It is my intelligence that will shine through on Sunday. It is why I am just that much better than Lava. It is why her confidence shall fall just short of her own dreams and expectations. It is why I will be the first Pure Wrestling Champion of this wonderful company. You can swing all you want, Lava. I will twist every extremity you give me beyond your threshold for pain. Please believe that this is your advantage. I want you to believe that... Because I want to win.
Force = Mass X Acceleration
Remember that when your fist hits the mat. I'd imagine it'll hurt.
Analysis Complete.
