I have made some questionable choices in my time. Like the time I got my tongue stuck to a pole on one of those ski lifts. Or the time I decided to place my trust in the hands of a long time friend, only to receive a knockout blow from a steel chair when my back was turned, costing me my title. Moral of the story? Sometimes in life you make the wrong choice, and while I have made many mistakes in my life, this time, I am certain I have made the right one by committing my future to Metro Pro Wrestling.
But why Metro: Pro?
The opportunity arose from the death of IWA, as I am sure is the case for a number of people on this roster. But what attracted me to this promotion is the sheer potential it has to become something special. Now I know that is banded about quite a bit, but in this case, it is the truth. This promotion has seen more talent come through its doors in a matter of days, than what comes through many other promotions in months and years. Look at some of the names that have come here...
Former Uncensored World Champion, Liz Smalls.
One half of the former IWA Tag Team Champions, Carter Hayes.
Former MMA star, holder of a significant undefeated streak, Ravyn Nightshade.
And five time major title holder, who has nearly been in this business as long as me, “The Villain” Jack Owyns. Or is it, Jack “The Villain” Owyns? I can’t remember, but either way he’s in the building somewhere...
And guess what? I could go on listing more names, and my apologies go out to those I didn't mention, but suffice to say this roster has more talent on it than anywhere else I have been. It is loaded from top to bottom. And I am sure that the fans in the New York area are salivating at the mouth at the prospect of attending our shows on a weekly basis, because wrestling doesn't get any better than this!
So when do we start?
I’ll tell you - this week, on Sunday night, November 23rd, 2014.
Mark the date in your diary. It will be a night that will live long in the memory for those in the arena. It will be a night that they will talk about for the rest of their lives, they will tell the story to their grandchildren that they were there when history was made in New York City, on Sunday night, November 23rd, 2014...
But most of all, they will all tell the tale of what I am going to do to Radek Dayz.
What has he done to make me put a target on his back?
Nothing.
That’s right, he has done nothing to me. He hasn't said a wrong word. He hasn’t looked at me the wrong way. He hasn’t jumped the queue in a busy supermarket. Or spilt his coffee down my shirt. He has done nothing wrong.
So why have I put a target on his back?
The answer is simple. It is less about what he has done, and more about what the management of this company has done. They have put him in my cross-hairs. They have put him in the ring against me. And when you are in a new company, wanting to make your mark and stand out from the crowd, you will do whatever it takes to make that happen. You can’t afford to get lost in the crowd, especially in a company like this where the talent is in abundance. What you need to do is stand out. And the best way to stand out is to put on a show stealing performance in the ring. You need to make sure that you leave a mark that can never be washed away, so that you are remembered by everyone, and that is what I am going to do this Sunday night against Radek Dayz...
I am going to leave my mark!
Now, Radek, I know that you are not going to be intimidated by a single word I say. But let me assure you, when you step into that ring with me I will show you no mercy. I am not there to play nice. I am not there to be your friend. Instead, I am there to get the job done by any means necessary. If that means lying, cheating, and stealing - then that is what I will do. Why? Because you stand between me and the perfect beginning to my Metro:Pro career, and there is nothing that you can do to stop me, but I welcome you trying to.
See you soon, sunshine...
