Anya-Leigh Castello was opting to take some time to hang around the venue that she would soon be calling her second home; the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York. Normally, she'd be hanging around a place like this by herself and just taking everything in, however, on this occasion she had her boyfriend by her side; a man who a handful of the Metro:PRO roster would recognize as a former IWA athlete, Jace DeShea. The two were just in the middle of a conversation at this point as the cameras seem to catch up with them.
"It's weird how you and I keep joining these new companies, yet we've never actually worked together... that is weird, isn't it?"
"It is weird... but maybe one day, right? I mean, I'd absolutely love to be able to work alongside you in the future."
"We'll see..."
He said with a shrug of his shoulders.
"But until then, I guess the focus is back on you for a while!"
Just then, the two are disturbed by the individual behind the camera interjecting.
"Sorry to interrupt but speaking of which... is there any chance we could hear a bit more from you about your upcoming debut match with Metro:PRO?"
Anya nodded her head with a smile appearing on her lips. She turned to Jace, planting a kiss on his cheek as he opted to take a back seat, just hanging around in the background as Anya took the lead with this particular scene.
"Okay, uhhh... unexpected but let's go! This week is...an interesting one for me. Not only am I being faced with intense pressure, I'm also being trusted not to let down my tag partner. Myself and Allyana do trust one another and of course, we're more than capable separately so why not succeed together?"
She shrugged her shoulders lightly.
"I'm not worried about the two of us working together as a team. We can do this because we know each other well enough to in addition to the fact that our passion for what we do just can't be rivaled. We're two of the most in-sync high-flyers on the roster and we've got the most heart. It would honestly be an injustice if we were not able to represent the company as the tag champions. That is being a little too optimistic, I know! But still, we've got to be super positive in a place like this! We're being surrounded by some of the greatest talent in the world so we have to find a way to stand out. Myself and Allyana may not be magicians or dreaming of becoming football stars but we're two women who still emerge as two of the stars in this industry who show their true colors; and that's in a good way. We don't have to hide who we are... we're just two women with passion and who are perhaps a little overly kind... in theory, we should be two who are overlooked or even torn apart in a business like this. Only the strong survive, as they say and the nice ones finish last... but we're prime examples of that not being the case. You can easily succeed with heart, passion and actually being respectful to the opposition."
"Sometimes, women like us are stereotyped as being women who are too quiet and innocent to thrive in this environment. No way. We've got the skills to back up our stance and views on life. Allyana has taken on some of the toughest women in this business and she dethroned somebody as a champion, who was once deemed unstoppable. She can do the impossible and I'm sure as hell prepared to give it a go as well! That's one thing you can't fault me for and that's wanting to stare any challenge in the face and embrace it."
"I'm not one to speak ill of opponents, not if this is not a personal battle. However, they have the same aims that we do... but since only one team can succeed, that means we have to fight harder than ever before. At present, I have nothing but respect for the opposition but I can't help but feel they're going to overlook our raw talent. They may be a capable team but our experience together as well as our high-flying moves tied in great stamina and focus, how can we fail? After all, that is a winning combination."
Anya shrugged awkwardly to show that she seemed to believe she'd said all she could on the matter for now, so she was done with this particular scene. With a wave of her hand, Anya brushed the camera away as she returned back to her previous conversation with Jace... although, that too, was a conversation about business...
