INT. GYM - AFTERNOON
We open with a shot that frames DAMIAN COLE up close-- a head a shoulders shot.
The camera pans back to reveal that Damian's standing inside of a high school gym—during a wrestling practice. The floors are covered with wrestling mats.
In the background, we see the future of the sport engaged in scrambles and perfecting takedowns.
The wrestlers in the background are running drills, jogging in place, and hitting the mat for a sprawl at the sound of a whistle.
On the mat behind Damian is a female wrestler—perhaps forced to fight harder than most because of her gender. She holds her own; in fact, she is more than holding her own—taking opponents, on after the other, down at will.

Earlier this week, I listened to the “Metropolitan
Mistress” Priscilla Price deliver her promo from the
Jacob Javits Center, home to MetroPRO Wrestling,
former home to Greater Metropolitan Wrestling. During
her promo, she made a statement, implying that this
is where it all began for herself, and that this
is where it began for me. However, I beg to differ.

For me, this is where it all began. You see,
my love for this sport began in a room just
like this, with a passion for the purity of
one on one competition. And here is tidbit
of information that may take many of you by
surprise—this is how it began for Marty
Sunshine as well. There was a time when
Marty Sunshine lived a breathed this sport
when stripped down to its bare essentials.

when it was just about the individual
competition? What happened to you?
You ask me why I have chosen to maintain
a neutral alignment? Marty, look at what
you’ve come to stand for. The only reason
I have chosen a neutral alignment is out of
respect for our history; otherwise, I would
be aligning myself with Team Goodman.

debut, a woman gifted in many areas of
the game. She’s fast, she’s focused, and
she can fly. Most impressive, while she
finds herself surrounded by the likes Marty
Sunshine, she carries herself with integrity
and respect for those around her, and she reminds
me of a younger version of myself. Angelina
Bellini breathes fresh air into this game,
and makes me want to fight again.

gimmicks and crazy rule deviations for the
sake of entertainment. This doesn’t change the
integrity that I bring to every match: you
may have aligned yourself with brutes like

not want to see a trace of them at ringside
for my matches. I will remain associated with
