Bursts of morning sunshine shone through the large window that consumed the vast majority of one of the room's walls. Those very same beams of light illuminated the facial features of one Anya-Leigh Castello, who appeared to still be struggling with getting used to the transition from night to day. However, the bright smile etched on her lips showed that she was indeed ready for the day, as she soldiered on, lifting a hand to lightly wave to the camera.
"It's an honor to be doing this again... sitting in front of the world and discussing a match that I am soon to have the opportunity to partake in. I am back to living the dream."
"I have been out of the ring as an active competitor for several long months now... it's hard to make a comeback... after all, what happens if I'm subjected to a return loss? Devastating... but it's a good job that I have a reliable partner on my side. With my skills and her skills combined, there is no way, in my mind, that we can fail. Collectively, the experience of myself and Allyana does exceed that of the opposition... almost. One opponent has greater experience yet the other has significantly less but let me ask... how well do they know one another? How well can they work together as a team? Myself and Allyana do have the advantage there, since we know each other very well inside and outside of the ring. We're aware of each others strengths and weaknesses and how to use each to our advantage. So what would push us over the edge?"
"Team work & heart."
"After all, it's abundantly clear that the opposition each possess passion for something other than wrestling; this is simply not where their true desire lies. The wrestling world is what myself and Allyana were born into... this is what we were made for. Allyana has had the honor of holding championship gold in this world but I am yet to taste that as all opportunities have been taken away from me right before my very eyes prior to now... but now that I am back, I mean business. Allyana's time as a champion was cut short so I know I speak for her too when I say gold shall soon come to the two of us, as we deserve."
"While there is a lot to look forward to on this historic event, I can assure you that this particular battle may just be a show-stealer... and why?"
Lightly tilting her head to one side, Anya wrapped a loose curl of her dark hair around her finger.
"We may be very different teams with incredibly opposing attitudes and views on the world... but our goals do remain the same. Whilst we may be the more bubbly, admirable, respectful team, that doesn't mean that we don't have the desire... the craving to win. We've got the fire to push ourselves to the limit and beyond. Both teams will undoubtedly shine, no matter what the outcome... but success comes to those who fight for it with refusal to give up, no matter how tough times get. I am certainly a prime example of somebody who has no quit; no matter how many times she perhaps should have. I am a fighter and somebody who has a reason to be doing this. We all require a safe haven and I am honored to be living out my dream... performing in the ring... which acts as my sanctuary."
"In addition to that, both myself, Allyana, Morgan and Dennis do share similar wrestling techniques. We all rely heavily on speed and aerial acrobatics in order to carry ourselves through a match... so in some ways, we're at a level playing field here since our key strengths are all very much the same. So what will set us aside here? What will take myself and Allyana over the finishing line? We are women who do not quit... we are women who are fast learners so we improve every single time we step into the ring... we are women who have a high level of focus; we zone in what we want and we fight until the bitter end..."
"... and sometimes, that kind of will to win and never-say-die attitude is hard to combat. In the case of our opponents this week, it may just be impossible. Anya and Allyana are her to make an impact and prove just how hard we can fight. I sure as hell won't let her down in this endeavor, just as I know I can trust her... another key element a team requires... trust..."
Anya lifted a hand and blew a kiss to the camera, ending with a bright smile continuing to sit comfortably on her lips.
