ext. the residence of zack lifer in cold spring, new york
We open to a lovely two story home in Cold Spring, New York. Outside the home in
the back is a cute little patio with two chairs situated next to each other nicely. In one
lounge chair sits a petite redhead, Alice St. James. In the other, her trainer — Zack Lifer,
fumbles with his fingers. Her face reads a distraught expression.
alice st. james
❝I'm worried about this whole thing with Marty... What if
Kaiden chooses Marty over me?❞
Zack sighs. He looks to his protege, seeing the distress on her face.
zack lifer
❝I'm sure he's going to make the right decision. Not only
for you, but for himself. If he's smart, he'll realize that Marty
want to fuck over Mort and that's the only reason he wants
you two. You already voiced your opinion on this whole thing.
There isn't much else you can do, except hope for the best.❞
alice st. james
❝I like to think there's more than I can do, but in all reality,
there really isn't. You're right. I have to let Kaiden do what he
wants to do and hope for the best. It's just so frustrating...❞
Lifer nods his head, understanding Alice's frustrations completely.
zack lifer
❝Let's talk about your match. Who did you say you're facing?❞
alice st. james
❝Dazielle Molaroni. She's from Portland, but lives in New York.
Pretty crafty. Not a veteran, but I wouldn't exactly call her a
rookie either. She's not afraid to get aggressive, which I applaud.
You and I both know that I'm not afraid to throw down if I have
to. I see a lot of myself in the fact that she prefers to get herself
into hardcore matches and violent situations.❞
Again, Zack nods. He scratches the back of his neck as well, thinking for a moment.
zack lifer
❝So in a sense, you might as well be facing yourself. Have you
seen any of her matches? What's she like in the ring? She any
good?❞
alice st. james
❝In a sense. I've seen her in the ring. She's got her ups and downs.
She is stronger than I am. Considerably. She's faster than
I am. My technique is better though. I can counter moves that
she might not be so inept to do.❞
zack ★ lifer
❝How's her ground game?❞
alice st. james
❝I'm confident that I can get her to the ground and keep her there.
Her defense on the ground isn't the best. Once we're down, I can
take it from there. My defense is better on the ground and like I
said, I can get her on the ground easier.❞
zack lifer
❝Good. What about her submission abilities? How are they in
comparison to yours?❞
It takes her a moment to think. She gulps before nodding again a bit more confidently.
alice st. james
❝Attacks and defense, I'm better. Especially attacks. I'm considerably
better at getting her into position for a submission and then
following through with it. She's pretty good with defense, so
that might play a factor in being able to slap a good submission
on her.❞
Alice adjusts herself in the lounge chair she's perched herself upon.
alice st. james
❝We can both maintain a pretty good level of fighting before we get
tired, so I expect this one to go on for a bit. I can take a bit more
of a beating before I go down, too. More than she can. My chin is
a tad stronger than hers as well. If I'm able to hit her with my uh...
my hurricanrana diver, I should be able to just lay her out. Three
count. Match is done. I think I can do it. I'm more focused than
she is. I can maintain a better focus than she can.❞
Zack appears pretty impressed by how much scouting that Alice has done for this match
up on Killshot.
zack lifer
❝Here's the thing though. You told me what your mind is on. Your mind
is on Kaiden. That's all you talked about when you got here. Do
you really think that you're going to be able to focus on this match
with everything between Marty and Kaiden on your mind?❞
She nods, looking up.
alice st. james
❝My focus is fine. I've got this.❞
