It hadn't been the greatest week for Will Levon but oh well - he wasn't going to sit around and complain, he was just going to fight harder than ever before. He smiled as he awkwardly waved towards the camera in the apparently unknown location.
I'm not disheartened. Shit happens and I did say from the start that there was no shame in losing to Lava - a very deserving victor and I stick by that. It was nothing more than a bump in the road so now it's time to make another comeback. It's not gonna be easy since Aura Williams is coming off one hell of a win but I'm up for the challenge.
I happen to have a helluva lot more experience than Aura in the ring - that's the very first thing I notice. That's a fact that kinda stands out most for me. Aura wrestles to the ability of somebody who has been in the business for more than just three months but given I've wrestled seven years - that's 28-times more experience behind me than Aura has - if ya wanna get into specifics. And due to that, I have achieved more than Aura - my two previous title reigns are considered shady at best but they happened and that is what people remember. Sure, Aura has a violent streak both in and out of the ring and I'm a nice guy but nice guys sure as hell don't finish last - they can get what they want when they put their mind to it and that is what I'm going to do this week.
Aura is highly skilled when it comes to submission holds and I - yeah - failed in handling that against Lava last week but at least I can now learn how to overcome the issues I faced in that battle. So no, my lack of submission defense won't trip me up this time. I'm working on improving that skill right now since that's what is clearly lacking in my skill set.
He shrugged that off, just continuing on after a few seconds of silence.
Aura - I get that you've got the heart and fortitude but you are consistent in terms of focus and you lack composure when you step in between those ropes. Perhaps you can end up being your own worst enemy at times as well. I think that's what got to you in that all important debut but kudos to you for bouncing back this past week - not everybody is capable of that. Your attitude to this business is commendable but your lack of experience will be your downfall.
If so, I'll take full advantage of that because as I've said before - I am a smart guy. After all, I defeated three others just two weeks ago. I defeated a man with more experience and strength than me, a woman who is notoriously relentless and vicious and a woman who is known for taking advantage in any situation - but I proved that a high-flyer like me can outsmart even the best of them. I took on a group of people who on paper, I stood no chance against - and I still succeeded. I can do the unexpected and that will include being the one to take you down and advance in the Empire title tournament.
We are both very different people - Aura, you are more outspoken in your approach to this business and I just roll with the punches - but that's not to say I'm a pushover. When there is something I want, I will fight to get it. That's why I'm here. It seems we're both fairly desperate for the Empire title and I can't say I'll take pride in being the one to smash your dreams but I won't hesitate to do so in order to get what I want.
You've done well so far - coming off a debut loss to make a comeback by advancing to this point in the Empire Championship tournament? Awesome. Impressive. Respectable. I suppose you think you're flying high now, whereas I'm on a downward spiral.
Nah.
This is just the beginning for me. I'm an experienced guy in that ring - I've been doing this long enough and that just means I know precisely how to put a stop to your current momentum. Apparently, I don't have the guts to go through with this and end up taking you down - but you just wait and see and I'll be honored to prove you wrong. Sure, possessing passion and determination is one thing - living up to your words is another. I respect your tenacious spirit but are you really aware of what you're up against and more importantly - how to counter it?
With that, Will ended with a nod of his head as he turned and disappeared from the scene.
