The location of this particular scene was a gym... that was just about it. It was empty at present, other than for Anya-Leigh Castello who leaned back against a wall, just tilting her head to one side as she took a sip from the bottle of water she held in her hand. Of course, it was necessary for her to train for a match like this... in Anya's mind, this was one of the toughest battles she was ever going to be a part of.
It's hard to stand here and have to say precisely why I feel I'm going to defeat Allyana. I mean, who knows how that match is gonna go? I can't predict anything other than the fact that it's going to be a great match. After all, there are plenty of qualities that myself & Allyana share so we're kinda equal in those respects. There's not a lot that separates her & I. We share so many of the same qualities and even the same values as people... we stand for the same things. That's why we get on so well and that's why we make one hell of a team. We're your next Metro:PRO Tag Team Champions so it's even weirder we're going to end up having to face off... but again, we're both up for the challenge!
Honestly, Allyana is an incredible woman and a phenomenal athlete. I can't honestly say a bad word against her, she doesn't have any negative qualities and I like to think she'd say the same about me! We both may still be rookies but we're learning as we go and we're definitely being put up against a challenge this week so it's gonna be tough... but I see it as a learning curve for both of us.
Last week, we proved what we can do and no matter what happens, this week will also involve us proving ourselves... even if it involves having to fight it out. I mean, we love what we do under any circumstance and we'll keep fighting through anything. That's what we both do best so why change that?
She shrugged her shoulder as she continued to smile brightly.
There's no need for me to say that Allyana stands no chance, as I might say to another opponent but hey, I respect this woman so much, I can't do that! All that matters is that she and I are definitely on the same page here... whether we're opponents or partners, it doesn't matter... we'll always be on the same page because we understand how the other works. That's what a real team is... two people with a strong understanding of the other. That also means this match is going to be even tougher. I mean, I know what Allyana is capable of and I know how to counter it. That just means she knows what I'm capable of and how to counter it... we could be going back and forth all damn night because neither of us will be willing to give up!
Neither of us are pushovers so of course, we're not going to let the obvious pressure of having to face a friend and ultimately crush their momentum get to us. I'd hate to have to do that but it is the name of the game and it's what we're expected to do. But we're professionals and we're fighters so sorry, Marty Sunshine but you're going to get an actual match here and not two crumbling messes in the ring! The world is in for one hell of a match... a show-stealing match, even.If there's one thing I can guarantee at this point, then it's that! We'll head to the ring, do what we always do and both walk away with our heads held high. And no matter what the outcome, I will not hesitate to shake the hand of Allyana because I'll know that win, lose or draw, we'll both have put on a great match for the fans. After all, that is our priority this week and I can tell you now that there isn't going to be any shame in losing to Allyana, just as I'm sure she'd say there's no shame in her losing to me, if that should occur. We're both very much equals so not matter what the result, neither of us will particularly lose momentum. A loss at this point wouldn't even matter too much, since we're gonna give the fans what they want... either one of us can help the other bounce back in no time, if that's necessary, although I doubt it is. We're both more than capable.
With that, Anya leaned forward and blew a kiss to the camera before she walked away, allowing the scene to come to a close there.
