Seattle, Washington. Streets of plenty walking up and down the sidewalk, oblivious to anything not contained in their own isolated world. They never give the holder of the cell phone a passing glance, the occasional insult being thrown his way for walking slowly in an almost aimless path. His feet scurry across an intersection, only his disgruntled face seen in front of the camera phone.
KAIDEN HAWKE ♦ DEADLY SERIOUS
The name? It's Kaiden Hawke. I don't expect you to know it yet, no. This city, the place I grew up? They don't even know my face either. Understandable. I'm nothing, a nobody.

Hawke's eyes glance over to the side, an aggressive look plastered across his face. The camera turned to show the man he was looking at, an everyday generic suit with a briefcase by his side.

And let's be honest with ourselves, shall we? One match at the top of the show isn't going to make you remember that name, not at all. Frankly, Alice and I aren't even supposed to win. We're not supposed to survive this trial by fire, not supposed to stay in the company past our first match. We're new, we're straight out of the gate, worst of all we're not even 'normal.'

His camera flipped once again, away from his own scraggly face and back to the man in the suit, walking in the other direction.
Kaiden stumbled to the side, the phone dropping from his hand, thumping to the floor. The video feed cut out, a moment of solid black. That is, until it flickered back on again.

And what's wrong with 'normal'? What's wrong with this guy? Simple.

The camera turned, a more aggressive Kaiden glancing at the screen with intensity, walking forward again across the sidewalk, plenty more walking past him on both sides.

We're not just a pair of bodies doing someone else's dirty work. We don't fit into the cookie cutter mold that comes hand in hand with this sport - we're not whores who play mistress to the stars and we don't blindly follow someone just 'cause he's a family friend. We don't need to be on some hanging-by-a-thread TV show with a two-bit host whose specialty is doing pregnancy tests and we don't need to blabber on and on about the company gossip. That's not me. That's not what I'm all about, nah. That's—

My apologies, SOME PEOPLE just like being assholes!

He shouted to the left, the camera turning to show a tattooed Seattle native strutting away with a certain arrogence about him, only the back of his head seen. The camera turned once again, the Metro:Pro rookie casually putting an arm around the back of a bench in front of a brick wall.

Yanno, that's not too different from Priscilla Price. She tried tah' get between Alice and I like the self-entitled prick she is, and for what? Because she regards us a threat? Nah, I doubt that. No, maybe she just does it for fun. She said it herself on live TV - her best talent is being on her back. Figures. Why? You do it 'cause after writing your book and becoming mildly successful with that piece of garbage that barely qualifies as literature, there's nothing left for a sociopath of your caliber with no family to do but ruin the rest of the world with one flick of her tongue at a time.

His head shook back and forth, his body becoming rigid while the chatter of others sounded in the background.

Angelina, why do you follow her? Clearly, you find what she does wrong. Certainly you have enough common sense to realize she's just using you to get ahead. You're not stupid. I've talked to you. You're intelligent when you wanna be, but when you look into her eyes and see absolutely nothing, don't you stop and think that something's wrong?

He scoffs.

I respect you, Angelina. Where the cookie crumbles, that's how this fight goes at the end of the night. We might lose. We might make a fool out of ourselves. We might remain nobodies, but you know what? We'll still keep fighting. If the rookies end up beating you, if the kids straight out of the gate can terminate all the doubters and closer to a platinum plated victory, well...

A devious smirk crossed his face, confident in every way, his head tilted up towards the sun.

They'll finally remember the name Kaiden Hawke and Alice St. James. We'll be the ones with the gold, standing above all the others like we own the place.
