The gym in a local New York hotel was currently empty, other than a few individuals who didn't even seem to be achieving anything of particular interest. There was indeed a small ring set up to one end of the gym, as it seemed as though it was a specialized gym after all Anya-Leigh Castello sat on top of the corner turnbuckles, dressed in her gym gear.
"Those who rely almost solely on speed, agility and the ability to perform crazy, over-the-top high-flying moves are often described as the acrobats of this business. Why? Because they're entertaining but lack any real direction purely since they don't necessarily hit the power moves. That is what is most synonymous with wrestling of course and that is why us high-flyers can be seen as the anomalies by some who have more traditional wrestling values."
"However, these days, you see the smaller guys with a different approach to matches. They don't rely on strengths, muscles, steroids... whatever. Things have changed in this industry so now there's a wide range of heights, weights, strengths and it seems high-fliers are more prominent than ever before. Strangely enough, four are about to share the ring this week and that's going to make for a very interesting dynamic."
"Usually in matches like this, everybody has their own discernible qualities. There's always something that makes each competitor stand out amongst the rest but when we're all masters of the same quality... so it's interesting. But I have a feeling that myself and Allyana will manage to shine just a little more. I've said this once already this week but it certainly still rings true. nothing can change my stance on that at this point. I guess I can be a little stubborn sometimes..."
She stuck her tongue out playfully as she crossed one leg over the other, managing to keep her balance on top of the turnbuckles as she did so.
"We're a team who know what they want from life. Our attention does not stray away from pro-wrestling nor do our priorities lie elsewhere. It's fine to have your love divided but it's not something I can say for myself. The ring..."
Anya glanced down at the ring in front of her with a subtle smile on her lips.
"... this is where our hearts belong. This is where our desires grew and where we ameliorated our skills from day one. It wasn't a second thought to us and now here we are. Myself and Allyana have been working hard to be here and in potential contention for the Tag Team Championships. We haven't just sat back and hoped for the best. We work hard and we fight hard. This week, we will show just how much of a kick ass team we can be! Again, this is not a personal battle between us but when dreams are on the line, this is where myself and Allyana shall triumph due to our focus on where we want to be."
"At the moment, that may be the only thing that could separate us, which is only such a small degree. But we'll take it. I mean, we're capable women and we'll use our strengths to our advantage, even if they do clash with the advantages of the opposition. Thankfully, our trip to Purple Hayes this week has taught us even more than we already know and will certainly assist us when we step into the ring this week. As rookies, myself and Allyana will take all we can into consideration without over-thinking it. Our focus and composure is strong. I know that certain individuals in this match may just enjoy taking the easy way out on occasion, we happen to possess the ability to watch our backs, keep our eyes open and counter whatever cheap moves you wanna throw our way, if any. We may not have the experience edge, necessarily but that's one lesson we've learned recently that we WILL use to our advantage. We appreciate every word of advice that's come our way this week and we won't hesitate to pull out all the stops to walk out of Killshot with that all important win."
"This battle of the high-flyers is going to be one that people will not forget anytime soon. Who needs excessive power moves when you can fly around the ring and defy gravity? To me, that's always a more thrilling show and these two teams are going to give it to you! Morgan, Dennis and of course, Allyana... let's go out there and kill it."
Her smiled never faltered throughout as it was abundantly clear that Anya-Leigh felt at her best when discussing her passion for the business as well as sitting int he ring that meant so much to her.
