INT. COLE MINE GYM & WRESTLING CLUB- KENILWORTH, NEW JERSEY - EVENING
Out scene opens up inside of the Cole Mine, the gym and wrestling club owned and operated by MetroPRO competitor DAMIAN COLE. Tonight is not about the ring work, but rather the mat work, as Damian on the center of a wrestling mat, working takedowns with a a youth in his mid teens. Along the perimeter of the mat dozens of middle school and high school wrestlers sit, absorbing Damian's teachings.
Damian dishes out instruction as he locks up with his pupil.
Damian pulls his opponent forward, causing his opponent to take a step, exposing an ankle, which Damian times perfectly as he lowers his level and shoots in for an ankle pick, sending his opponent to the mat.
As Damian helps his opponent up, we hear a clap coming from the entrance. Damian turns to find Marty Sunshine standing at the entrance, offering his applause for the teacher--- a man who was his former student.
Damian senses trouble-- the same way he does every time Marty shows up unannounced. Damian motions for one of his co-instructors to take take over, and then meets Marty at the door.
Marty, meanwhile, is soaking it all in-- the state of the art equipment, the hardwood floors, the speaker system.
Damian leads Marty into his back office.
CUT TO:
INT. COLE MINE - DAMIAN'S OFFICE - CONTINUOUS
Damian's office is decorated with trophies, medals, and championship belts, pictures and art work from his children, and a wedding picture from the day he tied the knot with his now ex-wife (and hopefully, some day, his wife again) Julia Cole.
Damian and Marty take seats on opposite sides of the desk.
Damian begins to rise from his seat.
Damian slowly sits down.
Marty shakes his head.
Damian's growing impatient, as he hears the sound of whistles and commotion coming from the gym.
And then it dawns on Damian what Marty is getting at.
Now Damian sits up, pissed off.
Damian rises.
Damian moves toward the door and opens it to leave.
Damian slams the door shut and with a fire and fury in his eyes, turns back to Marty. He approaches Marty, grabs him by his suit jacket, and lifts him out of the seat, slamming him against the wall.
Damian opens the door to his office and throws the MetroPRO co-owner out, and slams the door.
Secluded in his office, Damian takes a deep breath.
CUT TO:
INT. COLE MINE - GYM AREA - CONTINUOUS
On the other side of the door, Marty is shaken. He takes out his phone, dials a number.

So you've gotta control the head. Where
the head goes, the body will follow.

MARTY
Bravo! Bravo, I say! Pay close attention
kids, you can learn a lot from this man.

MARTY
I love what you've done with the place. I still
remember the day I gave you that initial investment
to get this place going. Remember that? A young kid
with a vision and a passion and not dime to make it happen.

DAMIAN
Yeah, I remember. What do you want Marty?
MARTY
I just wanted to come check on you,
see how you're doing. We don't talk
anymore. Let's go in the back and talk.

MARTY
When did you become so business-like? When
did small talk go out the window between you and I?
did small talk go out the window between you and I?
DAMIAN
I don't know, maybe the day you decided
to blackmail into aligning myself with you
to blackmail into aligning myself with you
MARTY
Yeah, it's a shame that had come to
that. I miss the days when you aligned
yourself with me of your own accord.

DAMIAN
Look, I told you-- you want me to hold
myself out as a Marty Sunshine guy--
fine. Now I gotta get back to practice.

MARTY
I need something else, Damian.
MARTY
I've got a situation on my hands.
DAMIAN
What situation?
MARTY
It's this Angelina Bellini.
DAMIAN
What about her?
MARTY
Well, it's not as much about her-- she's a
good kid, know her her whole life. No, this
is more about her father, Vincent Bellini.

Damian stares at Marty like he has no idea what he's getting at.
MARTY
Vinny Bellini? Tell me you've never heard of him.
DAMIAN
Should I?
MARTY
That's not important. Lets just say that he's a
client of mine-- the best kind too-- a recurring client.
client of mine-- the best kind too-- a recurring client.
DAMIAN
A divorce client?
MARTY
No. The other kind.
DAMIAN
What does this have to do with me?
MARTY
Well, Vinny loves his daughter, and she
is passionate about sport, and as you
know, this Sunday is her professional debut.

DAMIAN
No.
MARTY
Wait.
DAMIAN
Absolutely not.
MARTY
Just hear me out.
DAMIAN
There's nothing to hear out, Marty.
This conversation is over.
Marty is getting panicked, somewhat hysterical-- the way he always does when he finds his back against the wall. This conversation is over.
MARTY
Damian, please, you don't know her
father. I made-- I made him promises.
father. I made-- I made him promises.
DAMIAN
Well you should have thought of that
when you paired her against me.
when you paired her against me.
MARTY
I didn't pair her against you.
DAMIAN
No, you're right, Marty-- Mort paired me against her. And
why was he able to do that? Because you elected to use
your first pick to effectively put out a hit on Grace Taylor.
You could've used your first pick to put me in a title tournament.

MARTY
But you weren't aligned with me! Look, it's just one
match. You'll rebound. You rebounded from Corey McCabe.
match. You'll rebound. You rebounded from Corey McCabe.
DAMIAN
Not happening.
MARTY
If you don't do it I could be in a lot of trouble!
DAMIAN
Not my problem.
MARTY
I still have the pictures!
DAMIAN
Marty, I am sick you your tactics, sick of your threats,
sick of your blackmail! If you think I'd every lay down
for anyone, then you have no fucking idea who I am.
And if you have no idea who I am, then I'd caution
you to chose your next move carefully. Because if I
even here a mention of these pictures once again, I
promise you that MetrPRO's first pay per view will be
titled In Memory of Marty. Now get out of my gym!

Vlad, it's Marty. We've got a problem.
