Note: This takes place after Killshot on Sunday
The camera focuses in on booth in the New York City restaurant named 'Daniel', located on the Upper East Side. Its known for its expensive high class meals and even pricier people. There are three well known people occupying this particular booth. MetroPro co-owner, Marty Sunshine is the first to be seen. In his hand is a barely touched class of pinot. He's smiling but it's obvious by the single bead of sweat on his temple that this is far from a relaxing dinner. Across from him is Vincent Bellini. He's mid sentence, his voice is thick with an American-Italian hybrid accent riddled with stereotypical slang. His hair is dark, but his temples are salted with grey. His eyes are dark, almost pupil-less. Marty avoids direct eye contact whenever possible. Beside him is a lovely dark haired woman. Her eyes are a striking blue, even more noticeable with her hair pulled up and her lovely natural olive skin is exposed in the strapless dress. Her smile is genuine. She is completely oblivious to the tension between her father and Marty. This is Angel Bellini.
"...So I said, hey...yo... Does it look like you can park there?" Vinnie looks back and forth between his daughter and Lawyer. "You better believe that sap was flying outta there like a bat outta hell."
Marty smirks, taking a small sip of his wine. Angel rolls her eyes, playfully hitting her father's shoulder, "Oh Daddy. You are always looking out for the small business owners in Venice Beach. You just command such attention. People respect you! It's why you are so well liked no matter where you go."
Marty's smirk widens. It goes un-noticed by the fairer Bellini but Vinnie catches it, giving the lawyer a slight head nod. A secret they kept between each other as a way to protect the young woman at their table. "If you'll both excuse me, I need to use the little girl's room before our meal comes."
Vinnie takes his daughter's hand before she leaves, bringing it to his mouth and kissing her knuckles affectionately. Both men watch her go, that nervous look returning to Marty's eyes as the Italian turns toward him.
"Tell me straight up Sunshine, this kid she's up against... What are the chances she's gunna win?"
Marty swallowed, having dreaded them winding up alone together for any length of time. He plasters a fake smile on his face, "Angel is a great talent, reminds me of another girl I helped in this business, however something she lacks is that ferociousness that comes with experience. Something Damian Cole has spilling out in waves. Anybody who was smart would be putting their money on Cole here." He stops, watches as Vinnie's expression begins to change and quickly adds, "Just so you know I had nothing to do with this match choice and I would try to change it only Angel is insistent that she tries. She's determined that she's good enough to beat him."
Vinnie nods his head. Marty has known this man long enough to know when he's cooking up a plan. "Now I don't know much about this wrestling crap but I always support my Bella in anything she tries. Didn't you used to... Ensure your clients always came out on top?"
"Yeeesss...." Marty seems to know where this conversation is headed and he doesn't like it.
"Well...," he picks up a steak knife from the table and starts to spin it by its point on the table. Marty can't keep his eyes off it. "Maybe this is one of those times where you throw your weight around eh?"
Marty pulls at his collar a little, "But Angel will..."
Vinnie cuts him off. Holding the knife in one had now he leans in slightly across the table. "You leave Angel's morality to me. Besides who says she needs to find out."
"Vinnie, she's going to find out if...." He looks nervously from side to side before leaning in and talking in whispered tones. "Besides, asking me to do that against Damian Cole... He's been my client for years."
"Not nearly as many as I've been your client. Leave Angel to me to deal with. Just do it."
Marty's face distorts into one of complete conflict but Vinnie's expression is completely stoic.
Marty goes to answer him when the delightful brunette takes her seat again. She looks between the two men, so many unanswered questions in the silver depths.
"Don't worry Bellissima, we were not fighting. Just talking about your debut match and 'uncle Marty' here was concerned for your safety."
Angel brushes it off before saying. "You both have to have faith in my abilities. I can do this!"
She smiles brightly at the men.
"Of course you will sweetheart. I wouldn't have put my faith in you if I didn't believe you were talented. My worry is just that of a concerned 'uncle'. " he chuckles which in turn makes Angel do the same. She reaches across the table, putting her hand on top of Marty's and squeezing gently.
"You don't have to worry. I'm a tough chick. But see this is exactly what I've been trying to tell people who put you down. They don't know how good you really are to your clients."
Marty looks briefly at Vinnie before looking back to Angel, "Can't please everyone my dear but I will make sure that you are well taken care of here in MetroPro. That I promise." He looks again at Vinnie, nodding his head only once slowly. Vinnie smirks before changing the subject.
"So that delightful young woman I met tonight, Tell me about her..."
The camera pans out, going to black in the group
